The Key School is looking for a Head Boys’ Varsity Soccer coach to take over a program that has won the past two MIAA C Conference Championships. The ideal candidate will not only have soccer coaching experience, but also will be eager to be part of a community that is about supporting student-athletes on and off the field.
In addition to the Head Coaching position, we have openings for a Varsity Assistant Coach and a Head Middle School Coach as well. All positions come with stipends.
Head Coach Stipend: $4200
Assistant Coach: $2400

The INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION of MARYLAND is seeking its next Executive Director.
Description of the Position: Founded in 1999 as an organization that would unify Independent and Catholic school athletics in Maryland, the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM) aims to provide member schools the resources and competitive environment in education-based programs that establish a foundation for excellence. This foundation is based on the core values of integrity, sportsmanship, and leadership.Values that must be championed by the IAAM Executive Director.The IAAM Executive Director shall: 1) be a visionary leader that will advocate on behalf of IAAM and its member schools; 2) assure the execution of policy and procedures with IAAM’s mission and vision always at the forefront; 3) advise the member Heads of School and Athletic Directors on current trends and best practices in athletics 4) insure the financial integrity of the Association through demonstrated fiscal management and continued efforts to fundraise and seek additional revenue streams 5) promote a culture of growth within the Association 6) serve as the Associations’ spokesperson to the media and membership. It is the responsibility of the Executive Director to work closely with the Board of Governor’s Chair and Board of Governors as well as members of the Athletic Director’s Executive Committee. It is the Executive Director’s role to ensure that all member schools are in compliance with the By-Laws and Policies and Procedures of the IAAM and MPSSAA under the Standards of Competition.The Executive Director shall have the following qualities:- Building relationships - The Executive Director must build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders in high school interscholastic athletics.
- Policy Depth - The Executive Director must have a passion for and deep understanding of best practices in interscholastic athletics and its governing regulations and policies.
- Leadership - The Executive Director must be a dynamic thinker, willing to challenge convention and tackle difficult problems objectively and creatively, as they deal with a diverse range of student athletes, coaches, administrators, officials, and spectators. The Executive Director shall be a resource for “best practices” in regard to student-athletes’ health and safety and promote fair and safe competition among the member schools.
- Communicator - The Executive Director serves as the point of contact for all regulatory/legal inquiries, media inquiries, legislative matters, and inquiries from member schools and their constituents that deal with interscholastic athletics and, to that end, the Executive Director must be able to effectively communicate in written and verbal form.
- Objectiveness - The Executive Director represents and acts on behalf of VISAA at all times. The Executive Director shall remain neutral when receiving external input from stakeholders with respect to making decisions.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and manage the general operations of the IAAM consistent with the Mission and goals of the organization.
- Conduct IAAM business between the IAAM Athletic Directors, Executive Committee, Board of Governors and Heads of School both in-person and through virtual formats.
- Manage IAAM business operations, including resources, contracts, sponsors, and an operating budget.
- Interpret, along with advice from the IAAM legal counsel, and enforce IAAM regulations on behalf of the General Membership of the IAAM.
- Prepare and disseminate all IAAM written communications, including press releases.
- Work closely with the Sport Committees Chairs and individual sports committee chairs.
- Secure IAAM championship venues that meet the financial and competitive needs of the organization.
- Work closely with the Officials groups, Media outlets, Maryland State Athletic Associations and other affiliate organizations on matters that pertain to coordination between the groups, as well as to continue to provide member schools with professional development opportunities and additional resources.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required (advanced degree in a related field preferred)Experience:
- The Executive Director must have experience in independent schools and an understanding of the athletic programs at the high school level, either as a former athletic administrator or have experience as an executive director of a like-minded association.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (knowledge of the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland is preferred)
- The Executive Director must be a member of the MSADA and the NIAAA - National certification preferred (CAA or CMAA).
- Experience managing multiple projects that meet the Mission and Vision of the IAAM
- Experience with public relations and communication with a range of stakeholders

- Establish and implement annual budgets and develop financial reports and work with Accountant for End of Year Statements
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000
Components:
- Create annual calendar 18 months in advance
- Secure 14 championship venues 12-18 months in advance
- Execute 14 championships to create excellent experience for student athletes and their families and our fans.
- Work with website company to ensure timeliness and accuracy of schedules, scores and standings.
- Create / post website stories.
- Manage writers and content.
- Manage and create social media posts.
- Work with livestream companies.
- Manage awards.
- Create budget / manage / maintain / report on
- Prepare and execute Orientation for new Athletic Directors
- Prepare and execute orientation for new Heads of School
- Take the lead in creating the following meetings.
- Athletic Director meetings – monthly
- Executive Committee meetings – monthly (as needed)
- Board of Governors ( 9 meetings a year)
- Heads of School meetings (3 times a year with alternate communications)
- Realignment Committee -- 3 seasons
- Leadership Day for Student Athletes
- Foster new partnerships
- Create sponsorship opportunities.
- Provide relevant professional development opportunities for members.

Saints Peter & Paul High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced candidate to serve as the Varsity Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, prior lacrosse coaching experience, and a commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field within a college-preparatory environment.
This is a part-time, seasonal position paid through a stipend and is not benefit-eligible.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the Varsity Men’s Lacrosse program
- Plan and conduct daily practices, game preparation, and team development
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and competitive team culture
- Support the academic and personal growth of student-athletes
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, faculty, and athletic administration
- Ensure compliance with school and league policies and expectations
- Coordinate assistant coaches and team operations as needed

Schedule Expectations

GLENELG COUNTRY SCHOOL invites applications for the position of JV Boys Soccer Assistant Coach.
The Assistant JV Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in coaching, mentorship, skill and techniques instruction, and building a sense of community within the team, program, and school. The Assistant JV Coach works under the guidance and in coordination with the Varsity and JV Coaching staff in achieving the program and school-wide goals. The Upper School Boys Soccer season begins August 12 and runs through early November. Previous High School, Club Level, or College Level coaching and/or playing experience is preferred.
