Spalding's Grant Christiansen holds a narrow lead after Day 1 of MIAA Individual Golf Championships

Archbishop Spalding’s Grant Christiansen holds a narrow one shot lead over two golfers, with seven others within five shots, after Day 1 of the 2026 MIAA Individual Golf Championships.

Christiansen shot a two-under par 70 in the opening round at Worthington Manor Golf Club and will carry that advantage into Tuesday’s final round, which will be contested at Bulle Rock Golf Course.

Christiansen dominated the par five holes, carding a birdie on the 503-yard fifth hole and eagling No. 9 and No. 18. He also had birdies on No. 3 and No. 15. He also had five bogies.

Calvert Hall’s Landon O’Hara and Gilman’s William Ketterer, who will join Christiansen in Tuesday’s final group, are tied for second a -1. O’Hara had four birdies and finished two under on the back nine. Ketter had four birdies for his round and only gave three strokes back with baggies.

McDonogh’s Landon Rottman is in fourth place at even par, while Spalding’s Charlie Solomon and Calvert Hall’s Ryan Hoffner are tied for fifth at +2.

Rounding at the top ten are Spalding’s Calhan Cassidey and McDonogh’s Sawyer Baines, who are tied for seventh at +3, and McDonogh’s Nathan Eldridge and Mount St. Joseph’s Vince Spence, who are tied for ninth at +4.

A total of 26 golfers qualified for the final round.
