Justin Williams, who helped lead Annapolis Area Christian to a 23-5 record this past basketball season, has accepted a Division I scholarship to play basketball at George Washington University.

Williams was the best player for AACS, which was the top team in the MIAA B Conference all season and finished No. 15 in the final VSN Boy’s Basketball Top 20.

“Justin is one of the hardest working kids I have ever coached,” said AACS coach Doug Scheidt. “His passion for basketball is only matched by his efforts in the classroom and his efforts to be a man of character.”

The Eagles were upset by St. John’s Catholic Prep in the B Conference title game, but bounced back to knock off A Conference powers McDonogh and Glenelg Country on consecutive nights to win the Independent School Tournament championship. Williams scored 29 and 41 points, respectively, in those two games.
