Christian William drained a pair of free throws with just five seconds remaining to allow Annapolis Area Christian to lock down a 71-67 MIAA B Conference upset of No. 12 Boys’ Latin, Friday evening at BL.

Justin Williams had a big-time scoring night for AACS (11-5, 5-3), leading all scorers with 27 points. Teammate Josh Vina added 14 points, while Nate Eberle netted 13 points for the Eagles.

It was the first league loss of the year for the Lakers (16-5, 5-1), who were led by 20 points from star Kodye Pugh.  Patrick Spencer added 15 for BL, which owns a half game lead over St. Vincnet Pallotti (5-2) in the battle for first place in the Black Division of the the B Conference.

AACS also owns a win over Pallotti this fall. The Eagles trail St. Paul’s by a half game in the Red Division.
