No. 19 Boys’ Latin School visited northern Virginia Saturday afternoon, and rushed for five touchdowns in a 56-21 rout of Potomac School.
Offensively, BL (6-3 overall) was lead by a trio of running backs, with Dajuan Felder and Devin Brewer rushing for two touchdowns each and Josh Pugh rushing for one. Quarterback Brendan Crouse also had a big afternoon, rushing for a 20-yard score and tossing a 20-yard TD pass to Connor Walsh.
The Lakers also made two huge plays in their secondary, with Felder scoring on a 50-yard interception return and Koby Russell picking off a pass on the Laker goal line and returning it 100 yards for a touchdown.
Kicker Sam Grace capped the day with a perfect 8-for-8 performance on extra-point attempts.
Next Friday, the Lakers will close their regular season with their annual rivalry game with St. Paul’s School, as the Crusaders visit Roland Park. Boys’ Latin won 38-14, but St. Paul’s leads the all-time series, 40-21-1.
Then on Nov. 12, BL will be at Archbishop Spalding’s Whittles Field to take on St. Vincent Pallotti in the MIAA B Conference championship game.
