Keane leads a balanced attack with four goals


No. 1 St. Mary’s went on the road on Tuesday and, in a methodical yet dominant manner, took control of its MIAA A Conference lacrosse match-up with John Carroll, rolling to a 14-4 victory in Bel Air.

The Saints (13-0 overall, 6-0 MIAA A) received goals from nine different players in the victory, with Bobby Keane pacing the effort with four scores. St. Mary’s led 4-1 after one quarter and 7-3 at the half, before breaking open the game with three unanswered scored in the third.

Jake Adams and Jake Kucinski each scored twice and Gavin Burlace had one goal and three assists. Also netting single goals for the Saints were Will Hopkins, Erik Chick, Nicky Souza, Teddy Androus and Christian Schroeer. In addition, Zack Overend stopped 11 shots in goal.

John Carroll (5-8 overall) dropped to 2-6 in the conference. Collin Thomson scored three times for the Patriots.
