Led the Falcons to the 2018 MIAA B Conference lacrosse crown
Sean Todd, who guided Gerstell Academy to the 2018 MIAA B Conference lacrosse championships has stepped down after six successful seasons with the Falcons.
Todd went 64-40 during his tenure with the Carroll County private school, beginning and ending his time with Gerstell with league titles, as the Falcons won the 2013 MIAA C Conference crown in his first season.
Todd, who also coached the middle school soccer and basketball programs at Gerstell, and previously coached with the JV and varsity basketball programs, has resigned all of his coaching positions to devote more time to his personal endeavors.
“It has been an honor to work with Coach Todd who has been a positive leader for his teams, school and community,” said Gerstell athletic director Christine Hryzak. “Coach Todd has served the student athletes well in the soccer, basketball, and lacrosse programs for ten years. His coaching days at Gerstell will be remembered not only for his successes on the field but more importantly for positively guiding his players through Gerstell, into colleges, and on to successful lives. His presence in the athletic program will be missed as he is a great coach and person who built an incredible program.”
More than 20 of Todd’s former lacrosse players have gone on to play on the college level. The school has begun a search for his replacement.
