On a gorgeous afternoon for lacrosse in Brooklandville, No. 6 St. Paul’s built a five goal lead after three quarters and went off to defeat visiting and No. 8 Severn, 14-11, in an MIAA A Conference contest.
Logan Posner scored four goals to lead the Crusaders (12-2 overall), who improved their league record to 3-1.
Keegan Pearl was the quarterback of the team, scoring once an doling out six helpers, while Brendan Tscherne won 21-of-29 face-offs.
Sophomore Andrew Milani produced a hat-trick for St. Paul’s, Riley Gaeger scored twice, and Carson Gaeger, Jackson Woodward, Logan Zimnoch and Kyle DiPietro scored once each.
Severn’s Dylan Gergar match Posner’s four goals, while Ben Bedar added two goals and two assists. The Admirals got two scores each from Charlie Olmert and Andrew Volk, and goal and an assist from Mike Lamon.
Severn is now 9-6 overall, but 0-4 in league play.
