Devitt and Ibeziako combine for 44 points for the Saints

The St. Mary’s boys basketball team won for the first time this season, but not before getting a strong challenge from visiting Key School, Friday night in Annapolis.

The Saints prevailed 78-74 in this non-conference MIAA tilt, matching the hosts from the B Conference and the C Conference Obezags.

Patrick Devitt and Sam Ibeziako led the Saints (1-2) with 22 points each. The pair combined to go 19-for-24 (71%) from the field and 9-for-10 from the free throw line.

Garrett Nilsen and Mike Parme added nine points each for St. Mary’s.

Key, which lost for the first time this season, fell to 2-1.
