Saints rout Saints Peter & Paul for their third victory


The St. Mary’s boys basketball team ventured across the Bay Bridge, Monday evening, for a non-league game at Saints Peter & Paul and, suffice to say, the Saints brought their A Game on both ends of the court.

St. Mary’s outscored their over-matched hosts 30-4 in the opening quarter and coasted to an 84-26 victory to improve to 3-1 in 2021.

Saints Peter and Paul was limited to single digit points in three of the four quarters as the Saints grew their lead in every quarter.

Casey Smith led St. Mary’s with 15 points and six rebounds and Jacob Aryee scored 13 points. In addition Peyton Mason scored 11 points to go with five assists, while Jaden Bryant, Audric Washington and Brady Russel scored eight points each. Bryant also had eight rebounds and Grady Wolfe pitched in with seven assists.
