Max Piraino leads the way with an eight point performance

The St John’s Catholic Prep lacrosse team traveled to Baltimore on Wednesday and peppered the goals at Patterson Park’s Utz Tawardowicz Field as the Vikings overwhelmed Cristo Rey, 21-1 in MIAA C Conference action.

Senior Max Piraino led the onslaught, scoring a game-high five goals and dishing out three assists, but he had plenty help, including a goal and three assists from his sophomore brother Alex, who also won 11 face-offs.

Junior Nick Gamarra and freshman Joe Novak each produced six points, as both scored four goals and added two assists. Also producing six points was junior Keller Neuman who had a hat-trick and three assists. Rounding out the scoring, sophomore Marcos De Ribeaux had one goal and two assists, freshman Max Coots netted two goals and senior Dominic Rosone scored once.

Finally, junior Kyle Kim had an assist and sophomore Ryan Sebastian scooped six ground-balls.
