Four Cavs score in double-figure in victory over Clinton (TN)


On the road in Calvert County, the Archbishop Spalding basketball team picked up a semifinal win in the James Chapman Holiday Tournament, Thursday evening, defeating Clinton High of Tennessee, 76-68, at North Point High School.

Leading the way for the Cav’s was sophomore Cam Whitmore, who poured in 20 points. Ty Peterson added 12 points and CJ Scott with finished with 10.

Sophomore Jordan Pennick and senior Josh Akers both gave Spalding a spark off the bench, as they combined for 21 points.

The Cavaliers, now 6-5 overall, will meet Friendship Collegiate in Friday’s championship game, at noon, again at North Point.
