Sophomores Scott and Whitmore combine for 36 points
Two squads looking to make move up in the MIAA A Conference basketball race met at Archbishop Spalding, Monday night, and the host Cavaliers staged a spectacular second half rally to pull out a 62-60 win over St. Vincent Pallotti.
Spalding trailed by 19 points early in the second half before launching its comeback.
Sophomores Cj Scott led the way with 21 points and classmate Cam Whitmore added 15. Also contributing was Josh Akers and Ty Peterson with seven points each.
Spalding (2-2 overall) improved to 2-1 in the league. Pallotti is also 2-2 overall, but the Panthers slipped to 0-2 in the conference.
