The Archbishop Spalding boys’ basketball team received points from six different players, including five in double-figures, Friday night, as the Cavaliers went on the road and defeated Gilman Schoo, 78-66, in MIAA A Conference action in Roland Park.

The Spalding (10-14 overall, 5-8 MIAA A) carried a 5-to-6-point working margin most of the way before pulling away a little further in the fourth quarter.

Junior Derrick Hinton was the leading scorer for Spalding with 18 points. Senior Buzz Anthony and sophomore Broc Bozeman followed with 16 points each, while senior Barry McCormick netted 13 points and Timo O’Farrell added 11 points.

Gilman (7-16 overall, 1-12 MIAA A) was paced by a game-high 22 points by Jalen Rucker. Drew Ehrlich added 12 points for the Greyhounds.
