Vikings rout Georgetown Day (NC) in in final

After a six-point win over Huntingtown in Thursday’s opening round, St. John’s Catholic Prep exploded for a 40-point victory in Friday’s Bracket 3 Championship Game in the Governor’s Challenge at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Playing Georgetown Day (NC), the Vikings ended the suspense early, outscoring their opponent 22-1 in the opening quarter.

Four SJCP players had big scoring games, led by a game-high 21 points from Tyriel Collins. Masai Troutman added 18, Winston Moore scored 17 and Matt Contreras added 10 points. Troutman added nine rebounds, while Contreras had a team-high four assists.
