Nilsen, Krampf and Lilly have big offensive performances for the Saints
The Saint Mary’s boys’ lacrosse team scored six goals in the opening quarter, on the road at Archbishop Spalding on Friday, and the fast start sparked the Saints to a 15-7 MIAA A Conference lacrosse win over the host Cavaliers.
Garrett Nilsen, Ian Krampf and Nick Lilly all had huge performances for St. Mary’s (4-3, 1-0 MIAA A).
Nilsen had eight points, with four goals and four assists, and Lilly also scored four times. Krampf netted a hat-tricks and had four assists.
Scout Ripley added a pair of goals, while Allen Hockenberry and BJ Burlace scored once each. In addition, Zach Dudley won 19-of-24 face-offs and Wes Schmidt recorded 12 saves.
The Saints led 10-4 at the half and outscored the Cavaliers 5-3 in the second half. Spalding is also now 4-3 overall and 0-1 in the MIAA A Conference.
