Two teams in contention for the top spot in the MIAA B Conference soccer standings, Severn and Saints Peter & Paul, each picked up victories, Wednesday, in league action.

In its contest, Saints Peter & Paul blanked St. Mary’s, 2-0.

Matt Bailey and Cole Lacaze each scored in the victory as the Sabres remain tied for second place in the league Friends School. Both squads are 5-2 in league play with 15 points.

Severn (6-1), which leads the league with 18 points, maintained its advantage with a 5-1 win over Mount Carmel.

Devin McCarthy had a goal and an assist and Jack McCarthy had two assists to lead the way.

Nate Gauthier, Henry Reed, Tate Taczac and Spencer Wright also scored for the Admirals, while Trent Watson added an assist.
