Senior nets four and adds two helpers as Greyhounds win big
On a gorgeous Wednesday afternoon, Gilman made the trip to Bel Air for an MIAA A Conference lacrosse match-up with John Carroll and, behind the offense of senior Tucker Hebert, the Greyhounds rolled to a 14-8 victory.
Hebert had a six point day with four goals and two assists, including a first half hat-trick when Gilman established a 7-2 lead.
Hebert got the Hounds (2-2 overall, 2-1 MIAA A) on the board early in the first quarter and Gilman scored the first three goals of the game. Sophomore Oscar Woloson scored Gilman’s first two goals of the third quarter as the Greyhounds lead grew to 9-3. He also had an assist in the first half. Gilman led by seven on three different occasions in the second half.
Senior Jake Tompkins and freshman James Meyer also scored two goals each for Gilman, while freshman Clayton Baddley, freshman Jay Wilkerson, sophomore Bo Webster and sophomore Hayden Carpenter scored one each.
Junior Travis Smith had a hat-trick to pace John Carroll (0-2, 0-2), while senior Jackson Marindin added a goal and two assists.
The Patriots also got a goal and an assist from junior Cameron Carrigan. The other three goals came from junior Athan Barmer, junior Max Snellenburg and freshman Colin Thomson.
In goal, Gilman’s Kyle Morris made 14 saves, while Frank Cassidy stopped six shots.
