Basima and Commander combine for 41 as John Carroll rolls over AACS

Playing for the first time since its surprising run to the Baltimore Catholic League Tournament championship, John Carroll opened its 2021-2022 season Tuesday night at home, routing visiting Annapolis Area Christian, 80-40.

Jeannot Basima (22 points) and Tyson Commander (19) combined for 41 points to outscored the Eagles all by themselves, as the offense got hot early and stayed that way.

Terry Long, Jr. also reached double-figures for the Patriots with 11 points and Cesar Tchilombo scored 8.
