It has been an uneven season for No. 10 John Carroll School, but the defending BCL champs are trying to get right in preparation for a post-season run and it appears as if junior star Immanuel Quickley is ready to lead the way.
Quickley, who missed much of the first month of the season with a foot injury, scored 31 points at home, Monday, to lead the Patriots to a 74-63 MIAA A Conference win over Gilman School.
Quickley, the reigning VSN Player of the Year, got help from sophomore Nigel Haughton, who scored 17 points, and junior Qadir Ismail, who had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
John Carroll (17-10 overall) is now 8-5 in the A Conference, where it stands second in the Black Division.
Gilman (7-17) fell to 1-13 in league play.
