Bogues leads four Cardinals in double-figures in victory over Gerstell

Freshman Samartine Bogues scored a team-high 13 points, leading four Calvert Hall players in double-figures, as the Cardinals opened MIAA A Conference play with a 67-52 win over league newcomer Gerstell Academy, Wednesday evening in Towson.

Calvert Hall (1-2) had opened the year with two straight non-league losses but the Cards came out hot against the Falcons, outscoring the visitors 21-8 in the opening quarter and building a 38-16 halftime advantage.

Alex Miller added 12 points, while Olu Olanarin added 11 and Mike Williams netted 10.

Dayyan Noble scored a game-high 24 points to pace Gerstell. The Falcons fell to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in league play.
