Freshman also adds 12 rebounds as Panthers stay unbeaten
St. Frances freshman Derik Queen is a 6-foot-8 nightmare for the Panther’s MIAA A Conference basketball foes and he only appears to be getting better.
Friday night in Annapolis, Queen put on a show that won’t soon be forgotten.
The power forward was completely unstoppable as he scored 56 points, one more than the entire Annapolis Area Christian team in the Panthers 99-55 MIAA A Conference win over the host Eagles. Queen added 12 rebounds to complete a double-double, as well as four assists, as St. Frances improved to 11-0 overall and 10-0 in the A Conference.
St. Frances closes out its regular season with a two huge home games, facing Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Monday and arch-rival Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday. Both Mount Carmel and St. Joe have just one league loss.
