With the heat helping ratchet up the intensity for both teams, Friends and Annapolis Area Christian struggled through a scoreless first half, before the visiting Quakers pulled out a 2-0 victory with a pair of second half tallies, in this MIAA B Conference battle.

Both sides missed some 1-on-1 opportunities early and Friends struck the
bar and post twice in the opening half. The deadlock was broken with 25 minutes left, after a cross from Quaker freshman Christian Barnes was headed in by junior Jordan Finn. With 10 minutes to go Friends made sure of the three points when Sean Sewell won a ball in the midfield and played it through to Will Mortimer.  Mortimer played it wide to Steven Bogusky, who then crossed it in for senior Mike Klausner for a tap-in from close range.

Friends is now 1-0-1 overall and 1-0 in the B Conference. AACS fell to 0-2, overall and in the league.
