University of Maryland commit Darryl Morsell scored 25 points and Jaden Robinson finished with 18 points as third-ranked Mount St. Joseph defeated 10th-ranked Boys’ Latin School, 75-70, in a MIAA A Conference basketball contest Wednesday evening in Irvington.
Down one entering the fourth quarter, the Gaels (29-3 overall) scored 26 points to finish 16-0 in regular season league play. Kendall McMillian had 16, and sophomore James Bishop added 10.
Senior point guard Brandon Bradsher had 24 points for Boys’ Latin (19-11, 7-8 MIAA A), which led 50-49 after three quarters, and Jaylin Andrews finished with 19. The loss put the Lakers in the fourth spot in the Black Division, and will play at No. 5 Mount Carmel in the tournament quarterfinals Tuesday.
Mount St. Joseph will host St. Vincent Pallotti Tuesday in a quarterfinal.
