Panthers break things open with three third quarter touchdowns
St. Vincent Pallotti picked up its first football victory of 2018, Saturday morning, unleashing a prolific running game to rout Bishop O’Connell, 42-13, at Rockburn Branch Park in Howard County.
Pallotti began things with a big play as Khari James scooted 70-yards for a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, starting the Panthers (1-1) on their way to 333-yards rushing on 36 caries. James then complete a 31-yard TD pass to Tyler Faison to help the Panthers build a 13-0 first quarter lead.
Bishop O’Connell (0-2) got the only score of the second quarter, but Pallotti blew things open with three unanswered scores in the third quarter, to lead 34-6.
The first came on a 41-yard throw from James to Jordan Marshall, followed by a 20-yard scoring run by Mekhi McDaniel and a 25-yard TD spring by Emani Alford.
The teams trade touchdowns in the fourth quarter to set the final score.
