In what has become an annual tradition, the men’s lacrosse teams of Ohio State and North Carolina will play at Calvert Hall, on Sat., Oct. 12, to raise funds for the Michael R. Breschi Scholarship Fund.
Michael Breschi was the son of North Carolina head coach Joe Breschi, who passed away eight years ago. At the time, Joe Breschi was the head coach at Ohio State.
Both schools have ties to Calvert Hall and the contest will feature the return of several former Cardinals to Kelly Field.
Sophomore attackman Carter Brown, senior goalie Greg Dutton and freshman Johnny Kelly, all Calvert Hall alums, will see action for Ohio State, while North Carolina’s roster features four former Cardinals. Sophomore attackman Patrick Kelly, senior midfielder Frankie Kelly, freshman midfielder Stephen Kelly and sophomore defenseman Evan Connell will return to their high school home turf for the Tar Heels. In addition, several other Baltimore area players will appear for both squads.
Game time is set for noon and admission is just $5, while children under 12 will be admitted for free.
