Coming off a big emotional win, teams are always susceptible to a letdown. Top-ranked Calvert Hall, however, followed up Friday night’s impressive victory over pervious No. 1 McDonogh School, with a big 14-7 MIAA A Conference lacrosse win over No. 11 Archbishop Spalding, Tuesday.
The Cardinals raced out to an 8-3 first half lead and the team’s offense was fueled by four players scoring three goals each.
Jacob Kelly had a monster game, dishing out six assists to go with his hat-trick. Daniel Kelly, JT Bugliosi and Brendan Curry were the other three to produce a hat-trick.
Garrett Zungailia and Connor Mitchell also scored one goal each, while Rory Jones, Michael Autry and Liam Darragh had one assist each.
Patrick Mangan scored a pair of goals to pace Spalding. Sophomore Will Sherwood had a goal and a pair of assists for the Cavaliers.
