No. 7 Calvert Hall renewed its rich soccer rivalry with No. 4 Archbishop Curley, Friday night at the Hall, and the Cardinals battled from behind to top the Friars, 2-1, in the MIAA A Conference opener for both teams.

Sophomore Tre Pulliam stake visiting Curley to a 1-0 advantage, but Calvert Hall evened things when Connor Seifert assisted a score by Sherman Wallace.  Later in the half, Joe Bender netted the winner on a feed from Brad McKim.

Curley is now 1-2-0 overall, while Calvert Hall was playing its season opener.
