Down 7-4 after three quarters on the road, Tuesday, No. 6 Loyola rallied with 5 fourth quarter goals to upend No. 4 Severn, 9-8, and snap a two game MIAA A Conference lacrosse losing streak.
Senior Cole Williams scored four times to lead the Dons (6-4, 3-2). Loyola also got 1 goal and 1 assist from Nick Goles and Nate Leishear, as well as single goals from Luke Hurley, Robbie Olsen and Koby Smith. Alex Reid contributed a pair of assists.
Severn (13-4, 2-3) in many way dominated most of the way, out-shooting Loyola 45-23, winning the ground-ball battle 30-14 and winning 10 of 17 draws.
Dylan Gergar paced the Admirals with 3 goals and 2 assists and Michael Lamon also scored three times. Charlier Olmert and Andrew Volk added 1 goal each for Severn.
