Second-ranked Calvert Hall got a needed win, Wednesday, scoring a 3-1 MIAA A Conference decision over Archbishop Spalding.
James Rosa got the Cardinals on the board in the 20th minute and Ben Alexander made it 2-0, four minutes later. Calvert Hall tool the two goal lead to the half, but Spalding pulled within one, in the 20th minute.
It stayed that way until the clock wound down to five minutes left, when Chris Carroll iced the victory with Calvert Hall’s final goal.
Calvert Hall is now 8-2-1 overall and 6-2 in the league. Spalding, which got its first league win over Loyola on Monday, slipped to 2-9 overall and 1-7 in the league.
