Having lost four of its previous five meetings to Glenelg Country, over the last two seasons, No. 13 Calvert Hall welcomed GCS to Towson, Wednesday night, with a purpose.

The Cardinals started fast and never looked back as they rolled to a 72-52 MIAA A Conference basketball victory.

The Cardinals (9-1, 4-1) had several contributors, led by Evan Phoenix, who had 13 points, six rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal, while Chris Wallace scored 12 points to go with four rebounds and an assist.

Junior Drew Edwards also scored in double-digits with 11 points, with four rebounds and three assists.

Nico Clareth and TJ Ducket each had six points and three assists.  Clareth also added six steals and a rebound.

The Cardinals outscored Glenelg Country 20-11 in the opening quarter, led by 11 at the half and held a 50-29 lead at the end of three quarters.

Borris Rajovic scored a game-high 18 points to lead Glenelg Country.  Chancellor Barnard added 15 points for hte Dragons (3-4, 2-3).
