No. 12 Boys’ Latin visited Loyola Blakefield, Monday night, for a MIAA A Conference basketball battle and the 12th-ranked Lakers built an early lead as they came away with a 68-49 win over the host Dons.

BL’s Connor Walsh, Jaylin Andrews and Brandon Bradsher combined for 42 points to power the victory. BL built a 13-8 lead after one quarter, stretched its advantage to eight at the half and went up 52-36 after three quarters.

Andrews and Walsh shared team-high scoring honors with 15 points each. Andrews added 11 rebounds, while Walsh had seven boards and four assists. Bradsher, who scored 12 points, had five assists.

With the victory, the Lakers (16-8 overall) held onto third-place in the Black Division of the A Conference, where they are now 7-5.

Senior Kenny Lewis led Loyola with 19 points and Conner Hepting scored 10, all in the fourth quarter. The Dons (6-14 overall) are also in the Black Division where they fell to 2-11 in league play.
