No. 10 Archbishop Spalding High claimed its final non-league competition before MIAA A Conference lacrosse play, routing Annapolis in the nightcap of the Andy Eser Memorial Tournament at Whittles Field in Severn.
Junior attack Connor Suplee scored four goals for the Cavaliers (5-4) and Russell Melendez and Patrick Mangan each posted hat tricks. Nick Bullen scored twice for Annapolis (4-5).
Spalding, which lost to Severna Park Tuesday at Annapolis, led wire-to-wire against the Panthers. James Sherwood finished with a goal and three assists and senior midfielder Frank Prado had a goal and two assists.
The Cavaliers play at 14th-ranked St. Mary’s in the MIAA A opener Tuesday. Spalding defeated the Saints, 1-0, for its lone league win last spring.
