No. 10 Calvert Hall broke open a tight MIAA A Conference/Baltimore Catholic League battle at Archbishop Spalding, Monday, with a strong fourth quarter that produced a 74-63 victory over the host Cavaliers.

Both teams were lead by senior stars as Justin Kane scored 22 for Spalding and Justin Gorham lead Calvert Hall (11-4, 4-2 MIAA, 5-1 BCL), also with 22 points. The Cards outscored the Cavs 20-12 in the fourth quarter to break open a 1-point contest.

Brendan Adams added 15 points for Calvert Hall. Spalding (6-11, 1-5, 2-4) got 11 points each from Connor Anthony and Barry McCormick, while Derrick Hinton netted 10 for the Cavaliers.
