Needing a win to move back into a tie for first place in the MIAA A Conference baseball standings, Calvert Hall scored nine times in the bottom of the third inning to erase a 4-0 deficit to St. Paul’s and the Cardinals went on to a 13-4 victory.

Slugging senior catcher Alex Murphy was 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run and four RBI.  Leadoff hitter Troy Stokes had two hits, both doubles, and he drove in four runs.

Calvert Hall (15-7 overall) improved to 10-3 in the A Conference and they once again share the league lead with Gilman, which lost at Mount St. Joseph, Thursday.  St. Paul’s (7-12) fell to 4-8 in league action.
