St. Frances and Spalding remain at top; Loyola falls one spot

There wasn’t much change for MIAA teams in the latest Maryland State Media Football Top 25.

St. Frances Academy and Archbishop Spalding are again Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. Calvert Hall College (7th), Mount St. Joseph (No. 8) and 10th-ranked McDonogh School maintain their spot from last week.

St. Mary’s, despite losing to Calvert Hall, held at No. 22 while Loyola Blakefield fell from 23rd to No. 24. The Baltimore region account for nearly half as Dunbar and Old Mill entered at 23rd and No. 25, respectively.

Franklin (12th) is the highest ranked area public school, followed by Broadneck (No. 18) and Milford Mill Academy (19th).

Dunbar High and Old Mill entered at 23rd and No. 25, respectively, giving the Baltimore area nearly half (12) of this week’s Top 25.┬áConcordia Prep (four points), Long Reach (two) and Gilman School (one) each received votes.
