Senior rated nation’s No. 8 outside linebacker by ESPN
McDonogh School senior linebacker Curtis Jacobs will play in the 13th annual Under Armour All-American High School Football Game on Jan. 2, 2020 in Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., McDonogh announced Tuesday.
Jacobs will be part of the game’s selection tour which will visit McDonogh’s Owings Mills campus on Wednesday, Sept. 25 to present him with an honorary game jersey. Jacobs is rated No. 92 in the ESPN 300 best high school football players and his rated No. 8 among outside linebackers.
The 6-feet-2, 230-pound Jacobs is committed to play his college football at Penn State. He received a total of 21 Division I scholarship offers, including Maryland, Boston College, Florida, Kentucky, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Texas A&M, Virginia, Virgina Tech and West Virginia, among others.
The very first Under Armour All-American game included future pro bowlers Julio Jones and A.J. Green and the game’s alumni included nearly 200 NFL draft kicks, including No. 1 overall selections Jadeveon Clowney (2001), Jameis Winston (2012), Myles Garrett (2014) and Kyler Murray (2019) and 52 other first round selections.
