Eagles rout tournament host in upstate New York
The McDonogh boys basketball settled in for a three-day stay at the Josh Palmer Elmira (NY) Classic, Saturday, with a 53-35 rout of host Elmira.
The Eagles (7-8) started fast, building a seven point lead after one quarter and a 31-18 advantage at the half.
Jared Billups led the Eagles with a double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the victory. Everett Cooper added 12 points and Carlton Carrinton scored 10.
