The McDonogh School boys basketball team continued to impress in the MIAA A Conference, Wednesday night, going on the road and defeating No. 11 Boys’ Latin, 64-58, taking charge with an explosive first half.

Senior guard Damian Chong-Qui paced the Eagles with 19 points, including 13 in the first half when McDonogh (14-4 overall, 8-1 MIAA A) built a 37-28 advantage that kept them a few steps ahead of the Lakers the rest of the way.

Chong-Qui was also 4-for-4 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to help close out the victory.

Jaedon Willis hit three 3-pointer in the second quarter, on his way to scoring 12 points, and Noah Locke added 14. In addition, Marquis Thornes scored 10 points for McDonogh.

Brandon Bradsher scored 16 points to lead the Lakers (11-6, 2-4) and Brandon Murray added 15, while Jaylin Edwards and Connor Walsh scored 13 and nine, respectively.
