No. 4 McDonogh opened the third quarter on a 17-0 run, after leading by 10 at half, and went on to blast visiting Calvert Hall, 69-35, in MIAA A Conference basketball, Wednesday in Owings Mills.
Junior Noah Locke (21 points) and sophomore Damian Chong-Qui (12 points/7 assists) keyed the big third quarter push as they combined for 19 points in the quarter. Charles Okehie (10 points/4 rebounds) and Darius Pickett (6 points/8 rebounds) were also key contributors for McDonogh.
This victory improved the Eagles (15-6 overall) to 6-4 in the MIAA A, while improving their home mark to 7-1.
Cameron Briggs lead the scoring for No. 12 Calvert Hall (11-8, 4-5) with 10 points.
