Marfor-Sarbeng and Caltabiano lead the way for the Dons

No. 9 Loyola Blakefield welcomed D.C.’s Gonzaga College to Blakefield, Wednesday afternoon, for a non-league soccer match and the host Dons scored the final three goals of the game to come away with a 4-1 victory.

Loyola jumped on top with a goal from Kwaku Marfor-Sarbeng, midway through the first half, off of a great feed form Dominic Caltabiano, but Gonzaga even the score right before intermission on a nifty finish from Finn McCasin to the near post, from 12 yards out.

Chase Llewelyn opened up the scoring early in the second half on a tight turn in the box followed by a blast to the near post from 14 yards. Marfor-Sarbeng provided the feed. Caltabiano scored the third goal of the game on a feed from Llewelyn. Domenico Parravano netted the final goal of the game, tucking a shot near post off a feed from Ryan Kelly.

Loyola is now 2-2-1 overall and will return to MIAA A Conference action on Friday when the Dons host Boys’ Latin.
