Dons score just 13 first half points, but rally to win by 20
Rivals Calvert Hall and Loyola combined for just 30 first half points in their MIAA A Conference/Baltimore Catholic League battle at Blakefield, Friday evening, with the host Dons being limited to just 13 over the first two quarters.
In the third quarter, however, Loyola sprung from a four point deficit to outscore the Cardinals 29-8 and win going away, 53-33.
High scorers were few and far between in this one, but the Dons (8-6, 4-3 MIAA A, 2-4 BCL) were paced by 13 points from senior Brendan Fox, who hit four three-pointers. Bennett Gioioso scored points and Tryllian Young and Jordan Moore added eight points for the Dons.
Calvert Hall (3-8, 0-6 MIAA A, 2-3 BCL) was led by Amir Jenkins who scored a team high 11 points with three three-pointers. Calvert Hall senior star Logan Curtis was limited to just five points.
