Fischer scores 17 in road victory
Still in search of a breakthrough win against one of the Top 5 powers in the MIAA A Conference, the Loyola Blakefield basketball team continues to dominate the rest of the league, as the Dons went on the road Friday night and routed McDonogh, 56-29, in Owings Mills.
Loyola led from start to finish, building a 17-8 lead after one quarter and was up 31-16 at the half.
Senior Owen Fischer led a balanced scoring attack for the Dons with 17 points, which included four 3-pointers. Gavin Walsh chipped in with 8 points and 12 rebounds.
The Dons are now 9-4 overall and 4-2 in the MIAA A Conference where they are holding down second place in the Black Division.
