No. 6 McDonogh Schoool picked up in the New Year right where it left off in 2016, playing impressive basketball. The Eagles picked up another big win, Wednesday, routing rival Gilman School, 69-48, in a MIAA A Conference tilt in Owings Mills.

Junior guard Noah Locke led McDonogh (12-4 overall) with 20 points, including four three-pointers and he scored eight points in the opening quarter as the Eagles established an 11-point lead.

Three other Eagles also reached double digits as Marquis Thornes and Jaedon Willis each scored 15 points and Damian Chong-Qui netted 13.

Donald Duncan was the high point man for Gilman, with 15, while Will Harris added 10 points.

McDonogh leads the Red Division of the MIAA A with a 6-1 record. Gilman (6-10 overall) is in last place in the Black Division with a league mark of 1-6.
