It is one of the fiercest rivalries in the area and it is just as fierce in the pool as it is on dry land, but the Loyola Blakefield water polo team proved it may have just a bit too much firepower for their old foes, Tuesday, as they swam to a 21-8 rout at Blakefield.
Graham Linder led the offensive onslaught for the Dons, scoring six goals. He also had six steals and won a swim-off.
He had no short of help. Tiernan Brunner and Patrick Elfert scored 4 goals each, while Matt Clark had three. In addition, Mike Pierce and Teddy Turrall scored two goals each and Jake Breschi had one. Breschi, Elbert and Pierce all added an assist.
