Three hat-tricks lead Severn to an opening win over Saints Peter & Paul

The last 365 days have been far from normal for anyone, but a sign that a return to normalcy may be edging closer here in Maryland occurred Friday afternoon in Severn, as the 2021 high school lacrosse season got underway.

Powered by three hat-tricks, the Severn boys lacrosse squad opened its season with a 19-9 non-league win over Saints Peter & Paul, on a glorious late winter afternoon.

Jacob Todd led the way with three goals, all in the first half, and two assists, as the Admirals dominated possession, outshooting the Sabres 27-10. Severn’s Connor Layden and Trey Dring also each delivered three goals and one assist in the win for the MIAA A Conference squad.
