Obezags roll over Beth Tfiloh 10-0 to clinch a spot in the MIAA C baseball playoffs

There are perfect games and there are perfect games.

With strikeouts of 16 of the 18 batters he faced, Key School’s Mark Fusco threw almost the perfect perfect game, Tuesday, leading his Obezags to 10-0, six inning, win over Beth Tfiloh to clinch a playoff spot in the MIAA C Conference.

Much of Key’s offense came from the the bat of Colin Ostenso, who was 3-for-4 with two doubles and a triple. Ostenso scored three runs scored drove in one. Fusco also contributed a pair of singles, scoring two runs and producing two RBI’s.

Nick Beed also went 2-for-4, roping a double, scoring a run and driving in two. In addition, Sam Rodilosso had two hits.

Key is now 6-3 in the league and in third place in a conference where four teams will qualify for the playoffs. Beth Tfiloh fell to 4-7 and the fifth-place Warriors are now eliminated for the post-season.

Concordia Prep and Indian Creek are both 8-1 in the league and tied for first place. Saints Peter & Paul is currently in fourth at 5-4 and with two wins over Beth Tfiloh, the Sabres have also clinched a playoff spot.
