Key School, utilized a stifling defensive effort, held Park to 16 first half points and built a 10-point halftime lead, as the Obezags went on to a 45-32 MIAA C Conference road victory over Park School, Tuesday.

The victory by the Obezags (9-12, 6-9), combined with Cristo Rey’s loss to Gerstell Academy, allowed Key to clinch the sixth and final seed for the upcoming C Conference playoffs.

Key was led by high Jelani Reid’s 16 points and Michael Jackson netted 14. Park’s leading scorer Jason Gelblum was held in check. After a 30-point performance against Key last week, Galblum was held to 12 points, but he was still the high-scorer for the Bruins (12-11, 8-8), who will enter the post-season as the fifth seed.

Key will close its regular season on Thursday night against Beth Tfiloh, while Park has completed its regular season slate.
