Patriots overwhelm Pallotti in MIAA A hoop action


The John Carroll basketball team came within one basket of seeing six players score in double-figures, Monday, as the Patriots dominated host St. Vincent Pallotti, 87-50, in Laurel as they went on the road for an MIAA A Conference match-up.

Jalen Bryant and Jeannot Basima battled for team-high scoring honors as the combined for 41 points, with Bryant taking the slight edge with 21. They got plenty of help.

TJ Vaughn had a big night with 14 points, while Tyson Commander and Jaiden Jakubowski scored 10 points each. In addition, Cesar Tchilmobo scored eight points for JC.

John Carroll improved to 4-5 overall and 3-5 in the A Conference, while Pallotti (3-6 overall) fell to 2-6 in the conference.
