No. 12 Patriots handle McDonogh for 10th win

The surprising John Carroll School basketball team opened 2020 with the same way it exited 2019, playing at high level, as the Patriots kicked off the New Year with a 50-43 MIAA A Conference win over McDonogh School, Friday afternoon in Owings Mills.

The Patriots, who improved to 10-2 on the season, are now 3-0 in the A Conference. Tyson Commander, who has led the Patriots in scoring most of the year, had a game-high 18 points.

John Carroll also got 15 points from Cesar Tchlimbo.

McDonogh, which won three games and a tournament championship in Elmira, NY, during the holiday break, fell to 9-9 overall and 3-3 in the league.
